50 Words of Lorem Ipsum
Fifty words is roughly the length of a product card summary, a short intro paragraph, or a category description — long enough to wrap over several lines, short enough that it has to earn its space.
Designing to an exact word count is more useful than it sounds. Real content arrives with limits attached, and a component that looks balanced with an arbitrary blob of Latin often breaks when the copywriter delivers something a specific length.
How to use 50 Words of Lorem Ipsum
Match the count to the real constraint
If the CMS field caps summaries at 50 words, design against 50 words. Then generate a longer block and confirm the component degrades gracefully when someone inevitably exceeds the limit.
Check it at every breakpoint
Fifty words might fill three lines on desktop and eight on a phone. A card that looks balanced on a wide screen can push its call-to-action below the fold on mobile.
